Tell us about your first CrossFit experience
Went to my first WOD in 2017 and was hooked from the start!
Why is CrossFit your go-to sport? What’s your background (in life) and have you done other sports before?
I love that CrossFit pushes us out of our comfort zone. CrossFit is a never-ending process and there is always something we can challenge ourselves with. I’m a former swimmer and it taught me that mechanics and technique will always win out. I try to keep this in mind before rushing to increase intensity in the gym.
What made you decide to teach CrossFit? What do you love most about coaching?
I became a coach in 2018. I love problem solving. A huge part of coaching is being able to see what needs fixed and know how to communicate it. Coaching is so rewarding because you get to see the results of your knowledge and it’s impact on your athletes.
Do you have any further aspirations within CrossFit?
I absolutely plan to progress to a Level-2 and continue coaching. I would like to find new ways to incorporate CrossFit into my work as a Social Worker and keep spreading the fitness!
